The History of Barbagelata
Barbagelata was founded by John Barbagelata in 1952 and continues to
provide San Franciscans with expert real estate advice and results. The
Barbagelata name has been imprinted on the city since Giovanni
Barbagelata immigrated from Torriglia, Italy in the 1870s. He and his
wife settled in North Beach and began building the family reputation.
That reputation still stands.
Giovanni's
grandson, John Barbagelata, grew up understanding the value of honest
work and strong traditions. He passed that understanding on to his son,
Paul, and his daughter, Anna, who are proud to sustain the traditions
that have made The Barbagelata Company a continued success. Barbagelata
is stronger than ever, family owned and family oriented for over fifty
years. We have survived as an independent business in an age of
